This year solstice coincides with the Strawberry Moon, a once-in-a-lifetime event. The June solstice won’t fall on the same date again until June 21, 2062. The moon looked bright pink on the horizon and then clouds slowly enveloped the colorful disk.

Eths, I’ve taken quite a few pictures of the moon, but the clouds tonight accented the colors in the sky and moon. Thanks for commenting. K

Fantastic photos that capture the gorgeousness of a full summer solstice moon! I drove my dad up to my sister’s house on a hill to watch it’s progression before we lost it behind a bank of clouds. I didn’t have a camera that would have done it justice so thanks for sharing yours.
