Humble Contributions to the Peoples' History

“To see the earth as it truly is, small and blue and beautiful in that eternal silence where it floats, is to see ourselves a riders on the earth together, brothers on that bright loveliness in the eternal cold—brothers who know now they are truly brothers.”

— Archibald MacLeish, American Poet

It never ceases to amaze me to watch the earth pass below as I sit comfortably in an airplane gazing at the landscape before me.

“The Earth was small, light blue, and so touchingly alone, our home that must be defended like a holy relic.

— Aleksei Leonov, Russian Cosmonaut

Are these all your photos, Kae? It would be great to know where (and when) each of these shots was taken. Thanks!

    • Hi Gary, yes, these are my photos . . . aways get a window seat as the passing scene seems like a movie to me. Added the approximate locations, taken in the last couple years. I should bring a map with me. My many trips down to Norfolk produce the pictures along the Chesapeake Bay. Thanks for asking! K

    • Hi Vincent, thanks for stopping by and your comments! Yes, from airplanes at different elevations, and also I use a zoom lens, which brings the landscape closer. I just wish the airlines would wash their windows. Well, I guess they have other things to think about. K
